On March 5, the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP) commemorated the 12th anniversary of Hugo Chávez’s death, marking it as Latin American and Caribbean Dignity Day. Venezuelan ambassador to Cuba, Orlando Maneiro Gaspar, highlighted Chávez’s revolutionary commitment and his role in shaping Bolivarian unity in Venezuela. He emphasized the strategic alliance between Cuba and Venezuela as a response to intensified U.S. imperialism against their nations.
Noemí Rabaza Fernández, ICAP’s First Vice-President, also spoke about the partnership between Chávez and Fidel Castro.
