Oriole Resources highlights the potential of its Cameroon gold project following encouraging drilling results at Mbe. CEO Martin Rosser expressed satisfaction with findings from holes MBDD003 and MBDD004. The project showcases strong mineralization over significant strike lengths. Ongoing drilling efforts designed to refine exploration strategies continue. The collaboration with BCM International is crucial for future developments.
Oriole Resources (AIM:ORR) has emphasized the substantial potential of its Mbe gold project in Cameroon after releasing positive drilling results. CEO Martin Rosser noted that these results affirm the project’s strong capabilities, particularly highlighting initial findings that demonstrate promising mineralization.
The recent drilling at hole MBDD003 revealed a high-grade section of 4.24 meters at 7.7 grams per tonne (g/t) gold, including a standout interval of 1.72 meters at 18 g/t. Rosser stated, “We are very pleased with these latest results from the second scissor pair of holes at Mbe, which continue to highlight the project’s tremendous potential.” This first drilling program has yielded an exciting number of intersections.
Progress at the MB01-S target indicates that over 30% of the drilling campaign is complete, with 2,200 meters drilled across seven holes. The results confirm gold mineralization along a strike length of at least 200 meters, extending to a depth of approximately 290 meters.
Lower-grade intervals were also recorded in hole MBDD004, including sections of 3.00 meters at 0.99 g/t and 4.60 meters at 0.53 g/t, along with a higher-grade finding of 1.20 meters at 1.38 g/t. Despite fewer intersections, hole MBDD004 offered critical structural data to enhance the geological model.
Rosser disclosed that MBDD004 was expected to yield higher grades, yet was designed primarily to gather essential structural insights. He affirmed, “The purpose of the two pairs of scissor holes was to provide key geological structural information.” The ongoing drilling efforts aim to fine-tune parameters and advance the geological framework.
Two additional drill holes have been completed, with a third underway, while results are anticipated in Q2 2025. The focus is on high-grade zones within lower-grade gold envelopes, utilizing new data to optimize exploration tactics.
Oriole Resources maintains a 90% interest in the Mbe project, conducting a fully funded drilling initiative in collaboration with BCM International, which has secured a 10% stake and can increase this by investing $4 million in explorations. Rosser expressed confidence in the ongoing operations, believing forthcoming results will bolster the prospects for significant gold mineralization.
The drilling campaign at the Mbe gold project in Cameroon by Oriole Resources demonstrates considerable promise for gold mineralization as evidenced by the significant findings from MBDD003 and ongoing efforts at MBDD004. The collaboration with BCM International enhances the potential for expanding resource extraction through financial investment. As drilling continues, further results are eagerly awaited, which may solidify the project’s economic viability.
