Shin Bet’s investigation, released on March 4, 2025, admitted shortcomings in preventing the unprecedented attack from Gaza, which has led to ongoing regional conflict. The agency claimed that Qatari funds contributed to Hamas’s military development, purportedly facilitating the assault on Israel.
In its response, Qatar emphasized that all aid to Gaza was executed under the supervision and acknowledgment of both current and past Israeli administrations, including Shin Bet. Qatar firmly denied any association of its assistance with Hamas’s political or military activities.
Since the establishment of Hamas’s political office in Qatar in 2012, the nation has faced persistent allegations of support for the group, which it consistently denies.
