A petroleum tankerloaded with Premium Motor Spirit (PMS), popularly often called petrol, fell alongside Fajuyi street, close to Ilesa Motor Park in Ile-Ife on Monday.

The petrol tanker, reportedly owned by BOVAS petrol station, was on its technique to Moore Space to unload its contents when it all of a sudden fell.

When a KOKO TV FROM A reporter visited the scene of the incident and located that the driving force suffered no accidents.

An eyewitness, Ibrahim Salam, mentioned the tanker all of a sudden fell whereas making an attempt to cross a street resulting in Moore Space, the place the gasoline station was situated.

The Chief Hearth Inspector 2, Mr. Adeyinmi Adeleye, who can also be the Zonal Commander of the Ife Zonal Hearth Station, advised NAN that they had been there to stop individuals from taking petrol from the tanker to keep away from a fireplace incident.

He mentioned the tanker driver could have been rushing in that space as a result of the street was sloppy and had harmful bends.

He suggested drivers of petroleum tankers and heavy vans to train warning when passing in that space.

The Hearth Chief Inspector additionally warned residents within the space to be vigilant and depart the place as quickly as attainable as solely the flame can envelop that space, inflicting casualties.
