President Bola Tinubu on Monday celebrated former Osun State Governor and All Progressives Congress chief Chief Bisi Akande on the age of 85.
This was contained in a press release signed by the Particular Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Ajuri Ngelale.
It was titled 'President Tinubu celebrates his long-time ally, Chief Bisi Akande, on the age of 85.'
Tinubu celebrated his outdated ally once they have been each governors in 1999-2003, with the president in cost in Lagos.
Each contested and gained beneath the platform of the defunct Alliance for Democracy.
The assertion learn: “With a coronary heart filled with pleasure and gratitude to God, President Bola Tinubu celebrates his long-time confidant, Chief Bisi Akande, as he celebrates his eighty fifth birthday on January 16, 2024.
“Chief Akande, CFR, served as Governor of Osun State from 1999 to 2003 and the primary Interim Nationwide Chairman of the All Progressives Congress.”
Tinubu recommended Akande's defining rules of integrity, loyalty, fact and justice, recalling his exemplary management odyssey and selfless service to Nigeria.
“Baba performed a number one position within the founding of our nice celebration, the All Progressives Congress. He has all the time been progressive; all the time noble and disciplined in thought and deed, and dedicated to rational and enlightened beliefs.
“He’s a pricey pal and confidante, very beneficiant along with his clever counsel. I rejoice him,” Tinubu concluded.
Former President Muhammadu Buhari described the previous governor of Osun State in 2021 throughout his 82nd birthday assertion as “one of many biggest and strongest pillars of democracy within the nation.”
Earlier in December 2023, Akande warned towards labeling members who disagree with the ideology or causes of the APC as brokers of the opposition.
