The Anambra State governor, Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, on Sunday, led a mass of thanksgiving at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Awka, in remembrance and honor of members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.

Soludo emphasised the significance of the mass as a chance to precise gratitude for the sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces in addition to actions lined as much as commemorate the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day.

He mentioned the mass celebration served as a reminder of the essential position performed by the Armed Forces in sustaining peace and safety in addition to an expression of gratitude for his or her sacrifices in service of the nation.

He mentioned, “In March 2022, when eight native authorities areas in Anambra have been underneath siege, it was the professionalism and dedication of the Armed Forces, alongside the Anambra Vigilante companies and the help of our individuals, that in the end led to the return of peace .

“We expressed deep appreciation and gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces, we acknowledged their dedication to serving others.

“My prayers, and people of the nice individuals of Anambra, are repeatedly with you.”

Earlier in a homily, the Chancellor of the Catholic Diocese of Awka, Rev. Fr. Charles Ndubisi, reiterated God's fixed search for many who are actually pursuing their function on earth and certainly service members to stay centered and keep away from distractions.
