A bus driver, Philip Fiama, has been reportedly stabbed to loss of life by a fellow tenant whom he accused of getting an affair together with his spouse in Ifo Native Authorities Space of Ogun State.
Metropolis Spherical realized that the incident occurred on January 7 at about 6:30 pm on the deceased's residence in Sobande Shut, Alagbole, Ajuwon.
Fiama, a resident of Adamawa State, was stated to have pulled his co-tenant apart and requested why he had allegedly been having an affair together with his spouse.
This allegedly led to a struggle throughout which the suspect, recognized as Ikem Emmanuel, stabbed Fiama to loss of life.
The injured bus driver is claimed to have died whereas being taken to a close-by hospital, whereas Emmanuel fled to an unknown vacation spot.
The spokesperson of the Ogun State Police Command, Omolola Odutola, confirmed the incident whereas talking with our correspondent on Friday.
Odutola stated: “The incident occurred on Sunday, January 7. A landlord from Sobande Shut, Alagbole, Ajuwon, got here to report at round 8pm that day that one Philip Fiama, a tenant, accused Ikem Chika Emmanuel, one other tenant, of sleeping together with his (Fiama's) spouse.
“It was reported that this led to a struggle when Ikem Chika stabbed Emmanuel Fiama within the chest. It was stated that the deceased was pronounced useless at a Tamara Hospital.
“The suspect has escaped to an unknown vacation spot and the case has been transferred to the State Felony Investigation Division, Ogun State Police Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta, for discreet investigation. The police are additionally on the path of the fleeing suspect.”
