The Nigerian Correctional Service says each inmate in prisons throughout the nation is being fed with N750 day by day and never N200 as has been 'mischievously' circulating in a bit of the media.

An announcement by the Public Relations Officer of the company, Mr. Abubakar Umar, on Thursday in Abuja, stated the media report was false, deceptive and mischievous in all its implications.

The assertion learn: “For the avoidance of doubt, the general public could want to be aware that the feeding allowance for prisoners in Nigeria is within the public area and distributors will obtain the authorized quantity upon completion of supply.

“The contract for the provision of rations is often made public and the phrases are clearly said for distributors to use, in accordance with the Public Procurement Act 2007.
