The Conventional Ruler of Ukpo Kingdom in Anambra State, Igwe Robert Eze, has conferred the title of ‘Enyi Ndigbo’ on the Vice President, Kashim Shettima.
Equally, Igwe Eze conferred the title of “Agu Naechemba Ndigbo” on the Nationwide Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
The title “Agu Naechemba” means “Lion who protects the general public” and “Enyi Ndigbo” means “Buddy of the Igbo individuals”.
The monarch awarded the titles to the 2 leaders on Saturday throughout Ukpo Dunukofia's thirty second Ofala Competition.
The pageant was organized and sponsored by Prince Arthur Eze and happened in Dunukofia Native Authorities Space of Anambra State.
Talking on the event, Igwe Eze stated specifically that the title of Chieftain was bestowed on Ganduje as a result of he is among the main politicians in de-tribalism in Nigeria and the way he protected the Igbos whereas he was Governor of Kano State.
Governor of Imo State, Hope Uzodinma, Deputy Speaker of the Home of Representatives, Benjamin Kalu, and IGP Kayode Egbetokun, have been current on the occasion.
Ganduje was accompanied by the South-East Vice Chairman, Dr. Ijeomah Arodiogbu, Deputy Secretary for Publicity, Duro Meseko, his Chief of Workers, Muhammad Garba, and Arc. Aminu Dabo.
