Police in Zamfara have rescued a 52-year-old safety guard, Hassan Abdullahi, who was kidnapped in Gusau on December 29.
In response to police spokesperson Yazid Abubakar, the person was kidnapped at round 1.30am on Friday when armed males invaded a home the place he labored in Sabon Garin Damba.
In an announcement on Friday, Abubakar mentioned the gunmen invaded the home of 1 Alhaji Kabiru Umar, a workers of Zamfara Faculty of Arts and Sciences, Gusau, the place they left with the safety guard.
“Upon receiving the knowledge, the Divisional Police Officer of Damba Division mobilized a group of detectives for a search and rescue operation.
“They intercepted the abductors on the outskirts of Sabon Garin Damba and once they noticed the police, the hoodlums shot the sufferer along with his proper hand and chased them with doable gunshot wounds.
“The sufferer was rescued and brought to Yariman Bakura Specialist Hospital in Gusau and is responding to therapy,” the command spokesperson added.
He mentioned the Commissioner of Police, Mr Muhammad Shehu, has recommended residents for well timed alerting the police concerning the incident.
Shehu additionally recommended the cops for his or her well timed intervention, which led to the instant rescue of the kidnapped sufferer.
