Solis Minerals Reports High-Grade Copper Findings at Cinto Project in Peru

Solis Minerals Ltd has reported further high-grade copper findings at its Cinto Project in Peru, indicating significant potential for a porphyry copper system. Key assays include 26.5 metres at 0.28% copper, with future drilling planned for the second half of 2025 as part of a broader exploration strategy in the region.

Solis Minerals Ltd has announced new high-grade copper assays from its wholly-owned Cinto Project in southern Peru, bolstering the company’s belief in the significant potential of the porphyry copper system there. Results from Channel 11 indicate 26.5 metres at 0.28% copper, with a notable interval of 5.4 metres at 1.0% copper. These findings complement previous results showing 23.4 metres at 0.88% copper and 16.8 metres at 0.52% copper from other channels.

CEO Mitch Thomas emphasized the project’s potential, comparing the mineralization styles to those found at the nearby Toquepala mine, just 15 kilometers away. He noted that geophysical data from drone magnetometry underscores the scale potential and identifies new target areas. The visible mineralisation observed at Ilo Este and Cinto adds to the prospectivity of Solis’ portfolio, aiming to uncover copper-gold resources suited for large-scale mining.

The mineralisation at Cinto is found within intrusive hydrothermal breccias, which exhibit geochemical and structural parallels to the Toquepala Copper Mine, one of Peru’s largest producers. Current mineralized areas cover approximately three kilometres in length and 0.75 kilometres in width, while geophysical surveys have indicated a robust connection between copper mineralisation and a magnetic low anomaly. This anomaly suggests widespread hydrothermal alteration, indicating substantial project size potential.

Looking ahead, Solis is in the permitting phase for its inaugural drilling program at Cinto, expected in the latter half of 2025. Meanwhile, induced polarization (IP) surveys will start in June to further define drilling targets. The Cinto Project, encompassing six granted tenements covering 2,700 hectares and five active applications for another 2,800 hectares, is strategically located within the Cenozoic Porphyry Belt, home to key copper deposits.

Additionally, Solis is making progress on drilling initiatives at its Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este projects, anticipating multiple discoveries of copper-gold resources in 2025. “With drilling set to begin at Chancho al Palo and Ilo Este this quarter, and Cinto advancing toward drilling in the second half of 2025, Solis Minerals has incredible potential for discovery of multiple copper-gold resources,” said CEO Mitch Thomas.

Solis Minerals is making significant strides in exploring the Cinto Project in Peru, with new high-grade copper findings reinforcing the company’s hypothesis of a promising porphyry copper system. With geophysical indicators showing strong potential for development, and a strategic drilling program set to commence, Solis aims to enhance its copper-gold discoveries in a region rich with resources.
