Joya de Nicaragua, the oldest commercial premium cigar brand from Nicaragua, presented new products and packaging at PCA 2025. Key highlights include the Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, Joya Go-Packs, and updates for the Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial and Número Uno lines. These changes are set to elevate product accessibility and presentation while maintaining quality.
Joya de Nicaragua is celebrated as the oldest commercial premium cigar brand in Nicaragua and has a devoted following at the PCA Convention & Trade Show. The brand’s president, Juan Ignacio Martínez, engages attendees with insightful discussions. This year, Joya de Nicaragua featured its booth within the larger Drew Estate space, making it easy to overlook without guidance.
Despite a subdued presence, the company introduced notable packaging updates alongside a new cigar offering. The Joya de Nicaragua Antaño CT Gran Cónsul, measuring 4 3/4 x 60, is priced at $11 per cigar, with a total production of 500 boxes set for release in May 2025. It features an Ecuadorian Connecticut-seed wrapper, Nicaraguan binder and filler, and is available exclusively to members of the Club de Amigos.
Additionally, the brand launched Joya de Nicaragua Go-Packs, each containing five 6 x 50 toro cigars from specific lines, including an exclusive Mixed Go-Pack. Notable offerings include the Antaño Line Go-Pack for $45 and the Rosalones Line Go-Pack, available only outside the U.S. market, with a regular production release set for July 2025.
The Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial is also receiving a packaging update, transitioning to a format similar to the Cinco Décadas, featuring wooden separators, while the blend and pricing will remain unchanged. These new boxes will be available in June 2025.
Finally, Joya de Nicaragua’s Número Uno line will now feature a unified packaging format of 13-count boxes worldwide, emphasizing elegance and affordability. This change takes effect in April 2025, although the exclusive L’Attache format for the Club de Amigos remains unchanged.
Joya de Nicaragua showcased significant developments at this year’s PCA Convention, including new cigar offerings and packaging updates across various lines. The Antaño CT Gran Cónsul marks a new size for a previously acclaimed blend, while the Go-Packs enhance accessibility for cigar aficionados. The updated packaging for Cuatro Cinco Reserva Especial and the Numero Uno line reflects the brand’s commitment to elegance and affordability. Overall, Joya de Nicaragua continues to innovate while honoring its rich heritage in cigar craftsmanship.
