The OIC is the world’s second-largest intergovernmental organization after the United Nations, comprising 57 member countries across four continents. It aims to protect Muslim interests and foster global peace and harmony. Misri’s comments coincide with Prime Minister Modi’s scheduled visit to Saudi Arabia on April 22 and 23, where he will meet with Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. The visit is significant, following Crown Prince Salman’s state visit to India in September 2023, where the inaugural meeting of the India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council was co-chaired by the two leaders.
