Akani highlighted that the inaugural season of MTN Champs was held in Benin, where talented individuals were discovered, some of whom have continued to receive athletic scholarships in the United States. Furthermore, Amadin Enabulele, Chairman of the Edo Sports Commission, underscored the administration’s dedication to grassroots sports. He confirmed that Governor Monday Okpebholo had approved the use of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and provided logistics to facilitate a successful event in Edo State.
