Bambo Akani, the Founder and CEO of Making of Champions (MOC), announced the event amid preparations for the three-day competition, emphasizing the importance of these championships in identifying and nurturing athletic talent.
Akani highlighted that the inaugural season of MTN Champs was held in Benin, where talented individuals were discovered, some of whom have continued to receive athletic scholarships in the United States. He confirmed that Governor Monday Okpebholo had approved the use of the Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium and provided logistics to facilitate a successful event in Edo State.
