China’s defense budget has increased by 7.2% this year, raising international apprehension due to opacity in military spending. Reports suggest that China is advancing its nuclear capabilities, indicating military objectives spanning beyond mere defense.
For China to be recognized as a responsible global power, it must reconcile the differences between its stated diplomatic principles and its actual conduct.
