Côte d’Ivoire Embassy Signs Agreement for New Headquarters in NAC

ACUD and Côte d’Ivoire’s Embassy in Cairo signed a deal for a 5,000-square-meter plot for a new embassy headquarters and residence in the New Administrative Capital. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the agreement, which reflects strong bilateral ties and the advantages of the NAC’s infrastructure. This move supports the development of a centralized diplomatic hub in Cairo.

The Administrative Capital for Urban Development (ACUD) and Côte d’Ivoire’s Embassy in Cairo have finalized a land sale agreement for a 5,000-square-meter site. This location will serve as the new embassy headquarters and the ambassador’s residence in the New Administrative Capital’s Diplomatic District.

The agreement was signed by Khaled Abbas, ACUD’s Chairperson and Managing Director, and Albert G. Dole, Ambassador of Côte d’Ivoire to Egypt, with representatives from both organizations present.

Ambassador Dole expressed approval regarding the relocation, noting, “We are delighted to be in the NAC, following the directives of the Ivorian President. This move is a testament to the strong ties between our two nations. We also extend our gratitude to ACUD for facilitating the contract signing in record time.” He highlighted the importance of the New Administrative Capital, citing its modern infrastructure and ideal conditions for diplomatic functions.

Chairman Abbas welcomed the agreement and praised the significance of the embassy’s relocation, stating, “We are pleased to sign this agreement, paving the way for the embassy’s relocation to the Diplomatic District in the New Administrative Capital.” He noted the increasing number of embassies moving to the NAC, enhancing its status as a sophisticated diplomatic district.

The New Administrative Capital’s master plan includes the Diplomatic District, aimed at consolidating foreign embassies scattered across Cairo. This initiative seeks to establish a modern diplomatic hub, solidifying the capital’s role as a diplomatic center on both global and regional stages.

This agreement represents ACUD’s ongoing dedication to attracting diplomatic missions to the New Capital, following previous agreements, such as the recent one with the Embassy of Algeria in Cairo.

The recent agreement between ACUD and the Embassy of Côte d’Ivoire marks a significant step towards establishing a modern diplomatic presence in the New Administrative Capital. As the Diplomatic District develops, it will centralize embassies, enhancing Cairo’s stature in global diplomacy. The positive reception from both the ambassador and ACUD underscores the mutual benefits of this relocation initiative.
