Moreover, 24 women and girls were subjected to sexual violence during these aggressions.
In January 2025, violence continued in Mboki, resulting in the deaths of at least 12 individuals during an attack on a Fulani camp. Following these events, local authorities have arrested 14 suspected perpetrators. The UN has called upon the CAR government to investigate these events rigorously and hold those accountable, emphasizing that limited security presence in specific areas fosters a climate of impunity.
