From January 31 to February 2, 2025, a delegation from Turkmenistan, led by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, A. Serdarov, visited Ethiopia. The trip, an invitation from the Prosperity Party, included attending the party’s Second Congress in Addis Ababa. Serdarov addressed the congress, highlighting the political initiatives of the Turkmen party and proposed enhanced collaboration with the Ethiopian party.
During the congress, the Turkmen delegation briefly met with Prosperity Party leaders to congratulate them on their successful gathering. Additionally, the delegation engaged in discussions with Ethiopia’s State Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mesganu Arga Moach, focusing on strengthening Turkmenistan-Ethiopia relations and bilateral cooperation.
The Turkmen delegation also had an audience with Ethiopian President Taye Atske Selassie. Greetings from Turkmenistan’s President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov were conveyed. In response, President Selassie expressed his appreciation for the warm wishes and relayed his regards back to Turkmen leaders.
