UA Little Rock Welcomes Argentinian AI Experts for Tech Event

UA Little Rock is hosting a Tech Launch event on March 4 featuring Argentinian AI experts. The event will focus on the future of AI and its applications in business, with keynote speeches and a panel discussion. Attendees will have the opportunity to network with industry leaders following the presentations.

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock will host a group of prominent Argentinian artificial intelligence (AI) entrepreneurs for a Tech Launch event on March 4. This event will provide valuable insights into the future of AI and its practical applications in business. Keynote speeches and panels will feature experts from the leading AI companies Celara and Possumus.

Marla Johnson, UA Little Rock’s tech-entrepreneur-in-residence, emphasized Argentina’s emerging role in AI innovation, highlighting companies like Celara and Possumus as leaders in transforming business practices with AI. These firms are reshaping the landscape through enhanced operations and new revenue streams.

The event will take place in the Schueck, Lexicon, McCarty Auditorium within the Engineering and Information Technology Building. It will kick off with a keynote address, “Beyond the Buzz: Where AI is Headed in 2025,” presented by Zubair Talib, an MIT-trained AI expert and executive director at Celara Labs, who will outline future AI advancements.

Dr. Brian Berry, vice provost of research at UA Little Rock, expressed excitement about the convergence of international AI experts on campus, noting the unique opportunity for students and faculty to engage with industry pioneers. The knowledge shared will significantly enhance understanding of AI applications.

At 3 p.m., the event will transition to a panel discussion titled “Investing in AI,” exploring current investment trends and the integration of AI products in businesses. Panelists include Talib, Federico Tagliani from Possumus, and Pablo Abdian from Celera Labs, who will share insights on investment dynamics in AI.

Following the presentations, attendees are invited to a reception at the Windgate Center at 4:30 p.m., where they can network with the visiting entrepreneurs and industry professionals while enjoying Argentine wines and refreshments. The event is sponsored by Gadberry Financial Group, the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce, and the Associated Industries of Arkansas, and is free to the public with limited space.
