DLP Resources Unveils Maiden 1 Billion Tonne Inferred Resource at Aurora Project

DLP Resources Inc. reports an inferred mineral resource of over 1 billion tonnes at the Aurora Project in Peru, featuring significant copper, molybdenum, and silver content. The resource assessment highlights a positive outlook for further drilling and potential economic assessment, confirming the site’s potential as a major copper and molybdenum deposit.

DLP Resources Inc. has announced the maiden mineral resource estimate for the Aurora Project located in Parobamba, Peru, revealing an inferred resource of over 1 billion tonnes. The report, prepared by AMC Consultants, highlights a remarkable metal content, including 4.65 billion pounds of copper, 1.11 billion pounds of molybdenum, and 80 million ounces of silver, effective as of January 31, 2025.

The reported mineral resource includes a pit-constrained inferred resource of 1,050 million tonnes with grades of 0.20% copper, 0.05% molybdenum, and 2.4 g/t silver, equating to a 0.44% copper equivalent. The mineralization is categorized into copper-rich and molybdenum-rich zones, showing a consistent distribution, with potential for further expansion.

The mineral resource was derived from 24 diamond drill holes totaling 18,400 meters and is subject to further exploration and drilling to enhance geological confidence and assess possible economic viability. A preliminary economic assessment will be pursued following the next drilling phase.

Ian Gendall, the President, expressed satisfaction with the results, emphasizing Aurora Project’s significance as a copper and molybdenum deposit and the plans to upgrade the resource through continued drilling efforts.

Technical details for the Aurora Project mineral resources include cut-off values, metal recoveries, and the assessment methods used, described under NI 43-101 standards. The project is located within a 400-hectare area, and the resource estimation utilized Leapfrog Edge software for precise grade calculation through ordinary kriging methods.

DLP Resources has evaluated the Aurora Project and found a substantial inferred mineral resource exceeding 1 billion tonnes, containing significant amounts of copper and molybdenum. The positive findings support the project’s potential as a major mining site, prompting future drilling and economic assessments. Continued exploration aims to further expand the resource base and confirm the economic viability of the deposit.
