Additionally, over 500 Zimbabweans are enrolled in online Russian language courses.
Assistance to Zimbabwe has also been significant; in the past year, Russia delivered thousands of tons of wheat and fertilizers. Looking ahead, Putin spoke of upcoming support initiatives such as additional funding aimed at helping the UN World Food Programme.
Both countries share similar views on major international issues. According to Putin, they advocate for a multipolar world order grounded in international law. He acknowledged the consistent backing from Zimbabwe for Russian initiatives at the UN and other world forums.
Moreover, Putin mentioned Russia’s commitment to strengthening relations with African nations. He referenced a previous conference in Sochi dedicated to the Russia-Africa Partnership and expressed anticipation for the next ministerial gathering scheduled for later this year, inviting Zimbabwe’s Foreign Minister to participate.
In response, Mnangagwa conveyed his country’s honor in participating in the anniversary events. He extended congratulations to Putin and the Russian people, praising the commemorations and the military parade.
