He urged anyone aware of individuals lured to the conflict zone to contact the Ministry directly as they have not received additional information aside from the initial viral video.
On the issue of Ghanaians facing deportation from the United States, Mr. Ablakwa stated that the Ministry is focusing on humanitarian efforts for their reintegration upon arrival. He affirmed the importance of maintaining the dignity of repatriated citizens by managing their cases discreetly, without media exposure.
He updated that approximately 160 Ghanaians remain on the U.S. deportation list, with no changes since the last report from the Ghanaian mission in Washington. Ongoing efforts are in place to facilitate the safe return of these citizens.
