Namib Minerals (Nasdaq: NAMM) is utilizing cash flow from its How gold mine in Zimbabwe to resume operations at two additional mines, while also advancing copper and cobalt exploration in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). CEO Ibrahimia Tall highlighted plans in a recent video interview with The Northern Miner, stating that a feasibility study is aimed at increasing How’s production from last year’s 27,000 ounces.

The company is reviving operations at its Mazowe and Redwing mines to expand its production portfolio in Zimbabwe. Tall emphasized, “We are cash generators and we intend to generate way more cash when we reopen these mines,” during his address at the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada conference in Toronto.

He also mentioned that the cash flow from How will support exploration and development on 13 permits related to battery metals in Congo. Initial drilling results indicate significant near-surface copper and cobalt potential, with an expectation to convert some permits into declared resources by the end of the year.
