Strengthening Defence Cooperation: NDU-K and Netherlands Defence Academy Collaborate

Minister Ruben Brekelmans of the Netherlands visited NDU-K to sign a Letter of Intent, aiming to boost cooperation with the Netherlands Defence Academy. Mr. Ruben Brekelmans, the Defence Minister of the Royal Kingdom of the Netherlands, visited the National Defence University – Kenya (NDU-K) located in Lanet, Nakuru. During this visit, a Letter of Intent was officially signed to enhance cooperation between NDU-K and the Netherlands Defence Academy (NLDA). This initiative aims to promote educational collaboration and shared research in areas of national and global security.

In his address, Mr. Brekelmans praised the Kenya Defence Forces and NDU-K’s leadership for establishing the university as an institution recognized both nationally and internationally for its commitment to quality education and research. He expressed optimism that the partnership with NLDA would contribute to sustainable national development, improve climate security, and facilitate timely responses to emerging threats.
