On March 19, 2025, Ashgabat hosted the International Conference titled “International Year of Peace and Trust: the Role of Interregional Economic Cooperation in Ensuring Sustainable Development.” Organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the event attracted global attendees, including government officials, diplomats, and representatives from international organizations and the media.
The conference opened with a congratulatory message from President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. His speech highlighted the geopolitical significance of ongoing energy and infrastructure projects in uniting Central and South Asia via new technological corridors. Following his statements, he expressed hopes for a productive conference.
