During that visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen acknowledged the urgency of stronger ties in counter-terrorism efforts.
The session was inaugurated by EU Ambassador Hervé Delphin, who was joined by security professionals from several EU member countries, including Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands. Dinkar Gupta, former National Investigation Agency director general, expressed that addressing evolving security threats necessitates innovative solutions through mutual learning between India and the EU.
Maciej Stadejek from the European External Action Service highlighted the workshop as a symbol of the strengthened EU-India partnership in counterterrorism, with an emphasis on upholding human rights while enhancing security measures.
