Li’s comments came in response to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky’s recent assertion regarding China’s potential role in supporting peace and reconstruction efforts, made during the three-year commemoration of Russia’s invasion.
The estimated financial requirement for Ukraine’s recovery and reconstruction over the next decade is approximately $524 billion. So far, Kyiv, aided by international allies and the private sector, has allocated $13 billion to meet these recovery necessities, according to a comprehensive report by the Ukrainian government, the World Bank Group, the European Commission, and the United Nations.
