This meeting aimed to address the de-escalation of the conflict in eastern Congo. The Amir emphasized the friendly relations and expanding cooperation between Qatar, Rwanda, and the DR Congo across various sectors.
During their discussions, the leaders recognized the significant advancements made within the East African Community (EAC) and Southern African Development Community (SADC). They also highlighted the outcomes of their recent meeting in Harare, Zimbabwe, which took place on March 17, 2025. Both presidents reiterated their commitment to an immediate ceasefire and cessation of hostilities per the agreements forged in the EAC and SADC Summit on February 8, 2025.
Additionally, they expressed their support for ongoing meetings to monitor progress and build upon the agreements reached previously. This process is crucial for fostering a stable and peaceful environment in the region, as outlined by the Luanda and Nairobi processes.
