During his meeting with Greek Ambassador Antonios Papakostas, President Cường lauded Greece’s early ratification of the EU-Việt Nam Investment Protection Agreement (EVIPA). Although bilateral trade cooperation has shown positive trends, he noted that investment remains limited, urging efforts to promote cooperation agreements supporting businesses’ collaborations between both nations.
President Cường expressed hope for effective use of the EU-Việt Nam Free Trade Agreement (EVFTA) and encouraged Greece to advocate for swift ratification of the EVIPA by other EU countries. He also emphasized the importance of supporting Vietnamese seafood exports to the EU, underscoring shared interests at international forums like the UN and UNESCO.
Colombian Ambassador Camila Maria Polo Flores received congratulations from President Cường on her new role, with the President expressing confidence that her term would enhance Việt Nam-Colombia relations. He highlighted the importance of maintaining cooperation and supporting each other at multilateral events, particularly the upcoming P4G Summit.
Ambassador Polo Flores indicated her mission would prioritize bilateral relations, particularly celebrating the 50th anniversary of diplomatic ties. She noted Colombia’s interest in cooperation in fields like artificial intelligence and clean energy, acknowledging Việt Nam as a model of development.
With Panama’s Ambassador Nubiela Ayala Modes, President Cường reiterated historical ties and mutual support between the two countries. He expressed intentions to bolster cooperation in various sectors, stating the potential benefits for both nations and the importance of multilateral collaboration.
Cường also received credentials from non-resident ambassadors from Liberia, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and other nations.
