In a communique shared on Facebook, the Presidents of the National Episcopal Conference of Congo (CENCO) and the Church of Christ in Congo (ECC) expressed their support for President Lourenço’s efforts. They congratulated him for pursuing peace in the DRC and the broader Great Lakes region.

The communique, signed by Archbishop Fulgence Muteba Mugalu and Rev. Andre Bokodua, acknowledged the importance of direct dialogue between DRC representatives and the AFC/M23 leaders. They emphasized that this initiative is a critical step towards establishing a national consensus and achieving rapid recovery and pacification in the DRC.
