Omtatah argues that the MoU is unconstitutional, specifically violating Article 3, Clause 2, which forbids the formation of a government outside constitutional parameters. He calls for the public and Parliament to ensure governance adheres strictly to the law and serves citizens’ interests.
Omtatah asserts that the MoU represents an illegal power-sharing arrangement that undermines Parliament’s authority and the core functioning of government. He challenged any justification for the MoU, highlighting the role of Parliament in exercising power: “Why should there be an MOU when you have got Parliament? Donated power is exercised through Parliament.”
