President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the UAE held a reception at Qasr Al Bateen in Abu Dhabi for the organizers of the “UAE Stands with Lebanon” initiative. He expressed gratitude for their rapid efforts to support the Lebanese population amid crisis conditions.
Launched in October 2024 following a surge in violence in Lebanon, the campaign concluded in January, collecting nearly AED 190 million and 6,000 tonnes of relief materials. These resources were transported via 22 aircraft and two ships.
The UAE leader emphasized the country’s dedication to “extending a helping hand to those in need wherever they may be.” He also praised the local community’s involvement in the campaign’s achievements, underscoring the collective humanitarian effort.
