He criticized the ongoing Israeli assaults in the West Bank and Gaza, which have led to significant casualties of unarmed civilians, including women and children.
Khan demanded an immediate halt to hostilities in these areas, the protection of civilians, and unrestricted humanitarian access for those needing urgent assistance. He urged the international community to intervene and hold Israel accountable for alleged war crimes.
In addition to these issues, the spokesperson denounced India’s classification of certain Kashmiri political groups, including the ‘Awami Action Committee’ and ‘Jammu and Kashmir Ittihad-ul-Muslimeen’, as unlawful for five years. Khan stressed the need for India to lift restrictions on Kashmiri political parties, release political prisoners, and uphold UN Security Council resolutions pertaining to Jammu and Kashmir. He also condemned proposals for resettling Palestinians in foreign countries, reiterating the necessity of establishing a sovereign Palestinian state with pre-1967 borders and Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, identifying this as essential for achieving lasting regional peace.
