Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation has announced a significant extension of the La Ye vein system at the Santa Ana project in Colombia, increasing the vein’s strike length and confirming substantial mineralization. The project suggests high potential for resource expansion and emphasizes a commitment to sustainability and community engagement.
Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation has announced an important expansion of the La Ye vein system at its Santa Ana project located in Colombia. The latest drilling results have revealed a dramatic increase in the vein’s strike length by 450 meters, totaling over 500 meters, and confirmed mineralization extending down to 200 meters deep.
The Santa Ana project covers 27,000 hectares in Colombia’s Mariquita District, recognized for being the largest and highest-grade primary silver district in the nation. The project’s maiden resource estimate, outlined in a June 8, 2023, NI 43-101 Technical Report by AMC Mining Consultants, estimates an indicated resource of 24.2 million ounces of silver equivalent with a grade of 614 grams per ton, alongside an inferred resource of 13.5 million ounces at a grade of 435 grams per ton.
The La Ye vein is located about four kilometers from the current mineral resource area. High-grade silver-gold mineralization has been demonstrated through drilling, showcasing both concentrated zones and extensive mineralized intervals. These discoveries indicate substantial potential for resource expansion at the Santa Ana project.
For 2024, Outcrop Silver has developed an exploration strategy that aims to expand known mineralization and explore new high-potential regions along the project’s 30-kilometer mineralized trend. The company strives to create a clear roadmap for significantly enhancing the resource, positioning Santa Ana as a high-grade, economically viable, and environmentally sustainable silver mine.
The company underscores its dedication to responsible mining practices and community involvement, seeking to enhance the local economy while adhering to sustainable development principles. Outcrop Silver is actively pursuing exploration at Santa Ana with ongoing drilling and analysis to further define the project’s resource potential.
Outcrop Silver & Gold Corporation’s recent announcement of the La Ye vein system expansion at the Santa Ana project reflects significant advancements in mineral exploration. With promising drilling results extending mineralization, an ambitious 2024 exploration strategy, and a commitment to sustainable practices, the project is positioning itself for notable resource growth and economic viability.
