This segment covers a nine-mile stretch of the overall 22-mile highway, consisting of three lanes in each direction, twin tunnels, multiple structures, and both trunk and side toll stations that will facilitate local traffic.
Ayesa’s design scope also encompasses comprehensive feasibility studies and definitive design costs over a period of 35 months. This will adhere to regulatory requirements and safety standards, enhancing the project’s overall viability. The Anillo Vial Periférico aims to connect 11 districts in Lima and the port city of Callao.
The project is funded through a public-private partnership, utilizing toll revenue for operational and maintenance costs, as well as initial capital expenditures. Peru’s Transportation Minister, Raúl Pérez-Reyes, emphasized the importance of the Ring Road for improving transportation efficiency and connectivity for residents.
The design is expected to integrate advanced technologies, including building information management and intelligent transport systems, which will contribute to effective infrastructure management. The overall project is projected to create over 70,000 jobs during the construction phase, impacting approximately 4.5 million individuals.
