Bice Osei Kuffour, known as ‘Obour’, has officially resigned as the Acting Managing Director of Ghana Post Company Limited. His announcement was made via a Facebook post, where he reflected on his tenure that began on January 4, 2022, describing it as a privilege to serve.
Obour highlighted his role in steering the company through a phase of transformation focused on becoming a modern and efficient postal and logistics provider. He conveyed pride in modernizing the services and making them customer-centric.
In his resignation message, Obour expressed gratitude towards Hon. Ursula Owusu, the sector minister, as well as the Board and staff of Ghana Post for their dedication and support during his leadership.
Ghana Post has integrated technological innovations to enhance remote postal service access via an online platform. The company launched “GhPostPay” in 2019 to aid its digital transformation.
Additionally, Ghana Post has initiated a digitization agenda, introducing a digital address system and digitizing postal services nationwide. It has received awards including the Best EMS Call Centre Award in 2017 and the Best Customer Care Award in 2018 from the Universal Postal Union in Switzerland.
