Miata Metals Initiates 10,000 Meter Diamond Drilling at Sela Creek Gold Project

Miata Metals Corp. has begun a 10,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, focusing on the Stranger target. The project aims to explore a mineralized zone with previous positive sampling results, supported by a growing operational team and camp facilities.

Miata Metals Corp. has initiated a 10,000-metre diamond drilling program at the Sela Creek Gold Project in Suriname, targeting the Stranger prospect within a central mineralized corridor. Early drilling activities are focused on a shearing zone exhibiting significant veining and silicification, which has previously shown promising gold values from surface sampling.

The drilling strategy includes testing three holes at the Stranger target, after which the operation will progress to the Puma and Golden Hand targets. The mineralized area sampled at Stranger features a 30-metre-wide zone of intense alteration. Miata seeks to validate its predictive vein model as drilling advances.

Dr. Jaap Verbaas, CEO of Miata, emphasized the program’s importance, stating it marks a significant milestone for the company. He highlighted the collaborative efforts of the local team and the community in achieving the drilling commencement. The camp is also expanding to support an increase in crew capacity for prolonged operations.

The crew from Major Drilling is currently engaged in testing at Stranger, with plans to transition to other targets as soon as possible. The setup of a camp aiming for 35 personnel is underway to accommodate potential scaling of drilling activities.

Dr. Jacob Verbaas, P.Geo., the company’s Qualified Person under National Instrument 43-101, affirms the technical information’s integrity. Investors are advised that grab samples demonstrate mineral presence but are selectively collected. Miata Metals maintains a strong focus on expanding its mineral properties in Suriname and elsewhere, ensuring continuous exploration efforts across additional ventures.

Miata Metals Corp. has embarked on an extensive diamond drilling program at the Sela Creek Gold Project, highlighting the Stranger prospect. The initiative demonstrates a commitment to exploration and potential mineral discovery in Suriname, supported by a strong local team and community cooperation. As drilling progresses, Miata aims to assess its predictive models and expand operations through increased personnel and additional targets.
