Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s plane has successfully landed in Saudi Arabia, arriving at King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah. The Airbus A319, operated by Ukrainian state airline Ukraine Air Enterprise, departed from Rzeszów–Jasionka, Poland. The flight commenced at 12:02 Kyiv time and concluded at 16:40, lasting a total of 4 hours and 38 minutes.
Onboard were prominent Ukrainian officials: President Zelenskyy, the head of his office Andrii Yermak, deputy Pavlo Palisa, and Foreign Affairs and Defence Ministers Andrii Sybiha and Rustem Umierov. The aircraft flew over several countries, including Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, and Egypt, to reach its destination.
This visit coincides with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s presence in Jeddah for discussions with Ukrainian officials, led by Yermak. Rubio is anticipated to be joined by National Security Adviser Mike Waltz and Trump’s Special Envoy to the Middle East, Steve Witkoff, who expressed optimism regarding advancements during the scheduled talks on 11 March.
