On the issue of reconstruction in Lebanon, Qassem asserted that it is the state’s responsibility to rebuild war-impacted areas while declaring Hezbollah’s integral role in both political and military contexts. He stated that the resistance would continue as long as threats from Israel persist.
Following the truce agreement on November 27, 2024, which notably halted over a year of hostilities, Israeli forces have yet to fully withdraw as required. Although the agreement called for a complete withdrawal within 60 days, Israeli units remain in five critical locations along the border, citing ongoing threats from Hezbollah.
Recent incidents reported include injuries to a Lebanese soldier and a civilian due to Israeli gunfire near Kafr Kila village. Official sources confirmed these injuries, with one reportedly serious. Additional reports indicated an explosion in the border village of Blida, which resulted in further injuries.
Since the ceasefire was brokered by the US and France, clashes have effectively ceased, although Israeli forces continue operations inside Lebanon, emphasizing their intent to neutralize threats posed by Hezbollah, despite the ceasefire terms.
