Vietnam Enhances Bilateral Relations with Kenya and Other Nations

Vietnam is strengthening its international ties, with notable efforts in enhancing cooperation with Kenya, Kyrgyzstan, and Cuba. Upcoming visits and discussions focus on infrastructure development, social housing policies, and administrative efficiency within government structures.

Vietnam and Kenya are reinforcing their bilateral relations through a series of diplomatic engagements. Recently, Vietnam’s Party General Secretary To Lam is set to visit Indonesia, the ASEAN Secretariat, and Singapore from March 9-13. This visit is expected to strengthen regional cooperation.

Additionally, a Cuban delegation recently visited Quang Tri province, highlighting the close ties between Vietnam and Cuba, as local officials affirmed their commitment to nurturing these relationships at both local and national levels.

Continued discussions with Kyrgyzstan aim to deepen parliamentary ties while maintaining close collaboration in multilateral forums. During conversations, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh and Kyrgyz PM Adylbek Kasymaliev agreed on enhancing cooperation across sectors such as agriculture, education, and tourism.

In a recent press conference, Vietnam’s Prime Minister emphasized the importance of prioritizing social housing over commercial accommodation and called for developed infrastructure as part of this initiative. He noted Vietnam’s positive socio-economic outlook, with stability and key economic balances being maintained.

The Vietnamese government will allow eligible commune-level police to handle up to 35 administrative procedures efficiently, streamlining services such as immigration and vehicle management. Moreover, the PM called for AstraZeneca to facilitate technology transfer to further Vietnam’s vaccine production capabilities.

Lastly, the Vietnamese leadership reiterated the necessity for collaborative policy research with Denmark, emphasizing the importance of reforms and new growth strategies for national development.
