The Vice President expressed Armenia’s interest in enhancing cooperation in education, culture, agriculture, sports, tourism, as well as social, scientific, and technical fields. He noted that there is considerable potential for cooperation expansion in these areas and praised the effective collaboration between the two nations in international organizations.
Addressing regional challenges, Arshakyan mentioned that achieving peace in the South Caucasus is a priority for the Armenian government. Arsen Torosyan, the Chair of the Standing Committee on Health Care, highlighted Armenia’s Crossroads of Peace initiative, which seeks to establish regional communications based on sovereignty, reciprocity, and equality. Moreover, the Armenian parliamentarians discussed efforts toward signing a peace treaty with Azerbaijan and the status of Armenian captives held there.
