During the visit, Modi will participate in the national day celebrations, which occur on March 12, and reaffirm the commitment to strengthen bilateral ties across various sectors. Notably, a contingent from the Indian defence forces and a ship from the Indian Navy will also partake in the events.
Invited by Prime Minister Navin Ramgoolam, Modi will meet with the President of Mauritius, engage with the Prime Minister, and have discussions with senior leaders and political dignitaries in the nation. Indian exports to Mauritius stood at USD 462 million, while imports from Mauritius were USD 91.50 million, showcasing a 132% growth in trade over 17 years, from USD 206 million in 2005-06 to current figures.
