ECARX Partners with Volkswagen to Deliver Advanced Digital Cockpit Solutions

ECARX has been awarded by the Volkswagen Group to supply digital cockpit solutions for Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles worldwide. The collaboration will leverage the advanced Antora® 1000 computing platform and Cloudpeak® software, with initial launches in Brazil and India. ECARX’s in-house innovations aim to enhance user experiences in smart auto technologies, reflecting the company’s global growth ambitions.

ECARX Holdings Inc. announced that it will supply advanced digital cockpit solutions to the Volkswagen Group for vehicles marketed under the Volkswagen and Skoda brands globally. This partnership encompasses integrated hardware and software, utilizing the ECARX Antora® 1000 computing platform and the ECARX Cloudpeak® software architecture. Initial vehicle launches are set for Brazil and India, with additional global expansion potential.

The Antora® 1000 is ECARX’s fourth-generation computing platform, which incorporates a high-performance SE1000 System-on-Chip (SoC) fabricated on a 7nm process by SiEngine. The ECARX Cloudpeak® software platform is designed with modularity and flexibility, based on Android Automotive OS and Linux, allowing for seamless integration of various services like Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play Store. It also supports mobile interfaces such as Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

ECARX developed the operating system and Cloudpeak® stack entirely in-house, ensuring a compact, cost-effective, and energy-efficient system that enhances the user experience with Android OS and Google Automotive Services. The combination of these technologies will define the intelligent cockpit in Volkswagen and Skoda vehicles.
