CAN Bids Farewell to Nepali Women’s Cricket Team Heading to Uganda

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) organized a farewell event for the Nepali Women’s Cricket Team before their departure for the Four-Nation Women’s T20 series in Uganda, set to begin on March 8. The team, led by Captain Indu Berma, will compete against Uganda, Hong Kong, and Namibia, with matches scheduled until March 14.

The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) hosted a send-off ceremony for the Nepali Women’s Cricket Team as they prepare to compete in the Four-Nation Women’s T20 series in Uganda. The event took place in Kathmandu on March 5, where CAN expressed their support and good wishes for the team’s success in the upcoming matches.

The T20 series will feature teams from Nepal, Uganda, Hong Kong, and Namibia, scheduled to commence on March 8. CAN Secretary Paras Khadka highlighted this opportunity as valuable exposure for the team, emphasizing the importance of gaining experience in new environments.

Nepal’s fixtures include a match against Namibia on March 8, followed by games against Uganda on March 9 and Hong Kong on March 10. They will then face Namibia again on March 12, Uganda on March 13, and Hong Kong on March 14. The top two teams will advance to the final match of the series.

The Nepali squad consists of players including Captain Indu Berma, alongside Rubina Chhetri, Puja Mahato, Alisha Kumari Yadav, Sana Prabin, Roma Thapa, Bindu Rawal, Samjhana Khadka, Mamata Chaudhary, Kabita Joshi, Riya Sharma, Rajmati Airee, Rachana Chaudhary, and Ishwori Bista.
