As an independent Sudanese broadcaster founded in 2008 amidst the Darfur crisis, Dabanga serves marginalized communities by delivering trusted news via shortwave radio, satellite, and online platforms. The organization is dedicated to informing and educating the public while holding those in power accountable, especially during Sudan’s ongoing crisis.

Key responsibilities include managing broadcast infrastructure and IT systems for radio, TV, and online platforms. This involves maintaining Digital Radio Mixers, overseeing TV playout systems like Vmix and OBS Studio, and managing Microsoft Office 365 systems. Candidates will ensure seamless operations across various media formats and support radio automation and encoding processes.

In addition to managing broadcast infrastructure, the roll includes video production and editing duties. Candidates should be proficient in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Audition for audio editing. Experience in building custom radio studios and understanding Audio over IP solutions like Dante or AES67 is essential.

The position also involves providing technical training for radio team members and ensuring compliance with Dutch NEN1010 electrical standards. Successful candidates will be Microsoft Certified, possess significant knowledge of broadcast IT, and general radio engineering, along with fluency in Dutch and English.
