During a recent media briefing at the inauguration of a new satellite passport office in the Hajj village, Dauda clarified that there are currently no plans to further reduce the Hajj fare. He stated, “The fare we have announced is GHS62,000,” highlighting that all other surrounding nations charge considerably higher amounts.
Dauda emphasized the necessity for managing pilgrimage logistics, noting that the Ghanaian government will limit the number of pilgrims to 5,000. He urged agents to closely monitor payments and cautioned that no additional payments would be accepted after reaching this cap to avoid complications for participants.
The deadline for paying the Hajj fare has been set for March 13.
