Kabir-Sani joined the party with members of the former PDP State House of Assembly candidates’ forum during a significant meeting in Jaji’s residence in Gusau, bringing with them thousands of supporters.
The defectors officially announced their transition to the APC, citing Jaji’s developmental achievements as a compelling reason for their decision. Kabir-Sani remarked on their confidence in Jaji’s leadership: “We are convinced with the performance and good representation of Aminu Jaji considering various developmental achievements he had recorded in his constituency and Zamfara in general.”
Ibrahim Labbo-Anka, representing the PDP candidates’ forum, emphasized that their decision to join APC stemmed from its position as the state’s leading political party. He noted their positive discussions with Jaji and expressed commitment to contributing to the party’s growth, stating: “We had fruitful discussions with mutual understanding with Hon. Aminu Jaji; so, we decided to join the APC.”
Upon receiving the new members, Jaji praised their move as beneficial to the APC, assuring them of fair treatment and collaborative efforts. He expressed optimism about how their backgrounds would strengthen the party, especially the Jajiyya movement, and encouraged them to actively engage in party activities: “I urge you to remain with APC and feel free to contribute to the best of your capacity for the development of the APC.”
Isiyaka Ajiya-Anka, the State Chairman of the APC-Jajiyya movement, identified the group as the leading political force in Zamfara, stressing their comprehensive presence across local government areas.
