In the Tour du Rwanda, Eritrean cyclist Nahom Araya triumphed in stage 6, covering the 131.5km route from Nyanza to Canal Olympia (Rebero) in 3 hours, 9 minutes, and 23 seconds on March 1. Rwandan rider Moise Mugisha led in the final 3 km but was ultimately overtaken by Araya, who finished just 10 seconds ahead. Mugisha ended the stage in sixth place, contributing to the competitive atmosphere of the race.

Fabien Doubey from TotalEnergies regained the yellow jersey, having previously lost it to his teammate Joris Delbove during Stage 4.
