GENEVA — At the Conference on Disarmament (CD) in Geneva, Ambassador Mai Phan Dũng, Việt Nam’s Permanent Representative, reiterated the nation’s commitment to disarmament and nuclear non-proliferation. He emphasized the CD’s unique position as the primary multilateral forum for global disarmament initiatives.
Ambassador Dũng acknowledged Việt Nam’s proactive role within the CD, noting that the country has chaired the forum three times and is a signatory to key multilateral treaties related to nuclear disarmament, including the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons (TPNW).
