Xcalibur operates globally, with offices in various locations, including Astana, Kazakhstan’s capital.
Plans are underway for both parties to conduct an airborne electromagnetic survey aimed at mapping and identifying groundwater reserves in western Kazakhstan later this year. As reported on Telegram by the agency, this survey is expected to produce essential data to support water resource management.
Furthermore, Nurzhigitov is pursuing financial support from the Spanish government to fund this groundwater exploration initiative. Discussions regarding the potential grant are currently ongoing to secure necessary resources for the project.
The exploration comes amid collaborative efforts with Uzbekistan, where Nurzhigitov and Uzbekistan’s Minister of Water Resources, Shavkat Khamrayev, recently agreed to increase Uzbekistan’s yearly water supply to Kazakhstan. By October 1, Uzbekistan aims to provide Kazakhstan with up to 16 billion cubic meters of water, improving upon their previous commitment of 15 billion cubic meters during the last irrigation season.
